Who is responsible
This site is operated by the ESSEC Hedge Fund (“EHF”, “we”, “us”), a student society at ESSEC Business School (Singapore, Paris and Rabat campuses). For any privacy question or request, contact us at essec.hf@gmail.com.
What we collect
We only collect personal data that you actively choose to give us. If you use the enquiry form on our Partner page, it opens a message in your own email application pre-filled with the name, organisation, email address, and message you entered. Your details are sent directly to us by email and are not stored in a database on this site. When you email us, we keep your message and contact details so we can reply and keep a record of our correspondence.

We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send us, sensitive personal information or any financial account details.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics. Fonts are served from our own domain rather than a third party. Because we set no non-essential cookies, no cookie-consent banner is required. Our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses and timestamps) for security and reliability.
How we use your data
We use the information you send only to respond to your enquiry, to discuss a possible partnership or membership, and to maintain our records. We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it.
Who we share it with
We do not share your personal data with third parties except service providers that help us operate (for example, our website host and email provider), or where we are required to by law. Any such providers process data on our behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence only for as long as needed for the purpose it was sent, and then delete it.
The members' intranet
EHF members also use a private intranet, reached from the person icon at the top of this site. It keeps each member's profile (name, ESSEC email, campus, desk, photo, LinkedIn, programme and skills), their roles by academic year, and what they add or do in it. It is hosted by Supabase in Singapore, under Supabase's data processing agreement, and only members signed in with two-factor authentication can read it, each within what their role allows. Members agree to its own privacy notice when they first sign in.
Our members are in Singapore (PDPA), Cergy (GDPR) and Rabat (law 09-08). A CV shared in the intranet's CV book is kept one year at most after its member leaves, and the intranet's security log is purged after two years. When the team page of this site is published from the intranet, it lists the members who chose to appear there.
Your rights: access and deletion
You can ask us at any time to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email essec.hf@gmail.com with the subject “Data request” and we will action it within a reasonable period.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
